Uncertainty
There are lot of moments of uncertainty in life, and these moments can arise because options are given to us and we do not know that if the decisions we have made will be good ones. Uncertain moments will also arise when we do not if cannot see the road that lies ahead due to the decision we have made, or that the presence of other factors that will hinder our decision making abilities.
Job seeking isn't that fun after all. It makes me all jittery and uneasy. Waiting for the companies seem so long, and I am really afraid of not getting the desired position or getting into the wrong job. I am now still waiting for a reply from 2 companies, one of which I really wanted it and the other seems to provide a good career but the opportunities to learn about more things are limited. I really hope I can get the desired job. I hate this uncertain feeling.
Been out quite frequently the past week, either in school practicing, going for interviews (which is a good thing), meeting with friends, giving tuitions or just hanging around at home. The charity gig at Laguna Golf Country Club with reso for the National Health Foundation is ok I guess as there are no major hiccups. Moreover, we are treated to a nice 8 course dinner, and it's also an experience with different people (Joy, Lyndley, Meisi, and Yingfen) other than Oops.
Sunday was outing with 5 man gang where we celebrated Zhihui's birthday at Rice Table, an Indonesian restaurant at International Building at Orchard. An ala carte buffet was served, including satay, fried tofu, chicken, soto soup etc. After that we walked around Heeren, and Kim decided to go to the Pre Natas fair at Suntec organised by SA tours. Plans were made to go to Korea. Ktv itches then came and we thus headed to Kbox at Suntec and sang till the nightfall.
I really hope I can get the job I want. Really.

What's Up With the Wheel's Life
It's been a long long time since I blogged about my everyday life. All I do is write and complain about the things that happen or my feelings.
Anyway, since I have got back from Europe, it's more or less clearing my stuff from Europe (though the pack of souvenirs still lie on my desk), catching up with youtube (its the Taiwanese Talent show I have been watching), movies watching (I have watched Kungfu Panda, The Incredible Hulk, and The Happening), giving tuition, attending interview, meeting up with friends, and most importantly, attending Reso practices.
Reso pracs are going ok for me, or at least I think it's ok, just that my voice would temporarily disappear for a moment. Everyone has been working hard for this concert, and I have great faith it would be a successful one. The singers are really good and some of the songs are really nice and catchy. Although we are not professional groups performing, but we ensure we will perform to the best we can.
I had an job interview with SRC yesterday. It was quite rush because they inform me of the interview only on Tuesday evening and I have to prepare in school before reso prac on Tuesday. Anyway, I did not think the interview went as well as I wanted it to be. Because based on the questions they have asked me, I think I could have given much better and more detailed answers. Blamed it on my poor on the spot reactions. But I really wanted the job, because I am jobless, because it pays well, because it has good prospects. REALLY. But now, I really feel that it has gone with the wind.
What to do? But I am fine. I take it as a bonus if I get it to the second round and really have to perform IF i get it to the second round. Anyway, I really did not think they would call me for interview because it is a really well known Chem Eng company in Singapore and they look mostly for 1st class or 2nd upper. At the time when I sent my resume, I only had a 2nd lower. In addition, it was Mr Aspi who asked me to send in the resume, and if he did not, I would really consider because I thought that I would be rejected anyway. So it would really be a bonus if I get it. Wish me lots of luck man!
After the interview yesterday, I walked to Chinatown Mrt (yes, I walked from Havelock road which is near Tiong Bahru, walked past SGH at Outrum MRT and then to Chinatown) to meet with Sok Gek, Mingli, Weian and Kok Lian for lunch and KTV. We went to the Ten Dollars KTV which includes free flow of drinks, a bowl of 'sharks' fin' each and 5 hours of singing. Really worth it ya? So we sang to our hearts' content from 2pm to 7pm. After which, Mingli has to go. So the four of us continued with dinner at my favourite Lan Zhou La Mian, in which we each order a bowl of la mian and shared one 'long' of 8 xiao long bao. Really loved it. After that we went to eat desserts at Yuan Xiang Wei. The Black Sesame Paste and Peanut Paste are really good. We then decided to watch movie at The Cathay Picturehouse. Watched The Happening. Very disappointed, especially with the ending because the whole show ended just like that, as in a gust of wind solves all problems. We were like what had just happened and before we know it, everything became fine.
Anyway, that is what is happening to me these few days since I was back. Hope to catch up with more people soon. Meanwhile wish me luck with my job seeking.

Of Interviews, Projects and Birthdays
I will try to keep this post as short as possible, although I have been missing out for almost 2 weeks.
Been actually called for 2nd interview for JGC, the Japanese EPC company. Totally disappointed with that interview, not with myself, but with the interview, and the offer SUCKS BIG TIME. I am so angry with myself why I allow myself to be stuck in such a situation and be humiliated by such person. Anyway I am not going to accept that offer, unless something really goes so wrong. There will be another interview, that is with Yokagawa. It is the 1st round and I hope it will be a good one.
Finally, the super big project design concluded on Thursday!! And since it coincides with my birthday and the last day of school for most of us, we have a small celebration at Marche at Vivocity where we got high with beer, mushrooms and phototaking.
Thanks to the Resonance kakis for the quick lunch at Arts on Friday. Sorry I can't join you all at Daily Scoopz. Hope you all have enjoyed yourself!
So far the presents I have got are ang baos (family), a haversack (class people), and a nice cheesecake and One Republic CD (bro).
This year's birthday I missed out having meal with my family, largely because of the projects and having other plans with friends. But somehow, this year's birthday was quite different. Besides being sick, it's the feeling that's different. Maybe it's the age... I am getting old. Thanks to all who have messaged, facebooked, msn-ed your greetings. Appreciated greatly!
So now, I am left with the last project and the final 2 papers for exams and after that, IT'S THE EUROPE TRIP!!!
PS: Not as if my writing skills are real good, but I realised my writing skills have deteriorated,. Sighz!

Welcoming April
Although my birthday is in April, I have never looked forward to this month, because it spells exams, deadlines, and stuff that I do not even want to wish. Fortunately, there's a 'birthday' to help ease all the unnecessary worries and anxieties.
I had another interview with Wyeth Nutrional last Friday. There's only 1 interviewer this time. He looked nice enough, well although not at welcoming as the Japanese guy from JGC. The interview went on as usual, nothing extraordinary. I have said my peace, and I hope that worked out well. Seriously, I really do not know what's a fantastic interview that would secure me a job. I have told one of my friends that initially, I wasn't that jumping out of the chair with this job interview, mainly because of the location (yes, it's at Tuas). But after talking to the interviewer, I realised it's actually quite a good job and the prospects in pharmaceutical industry are really attractive. I wouldn't mind the location if the company pays well. In addition, there's also another special report in the newspaper on Saturday, introducing the pharmaceutical jobs and the blooming and expanding industry. That made me even more want to get the Wyeth job.
Actually, I am not greedy. Just as long as the job pays well, the work environment is good, and the career development in the company is fine, I am ok.
Now back to the April topic, as some of you might know (and even if you don't know, now you will know), that my birthday falls within this month. Some of my friends have also asked me what I want. Maybe I should list them down here for everyone's convenience.
Birthday Wishlist1. Partial Sponsorship (at least 1/2) for Europe Trip (Full sponsorship would be most welcomed)
2. Job Security in a Renowned Company (that would need those who are real good in networking)
3. A Life Time Gym Membership (so that I would not go fat)
4. A Secured 2nd Upper Class Honors (that would require some bribing with the Chemical Engineering Department)
5. A Fully Sponsored Diving Lessons Package
Well those really sound like some prizes for some really big game show like Wheel of Fortune.
Anyway, what I really want is all my people and friends around me to be happy and healthy. :)
But I wouldn't mind a PSP Slim.
I was thinking if all my friends come together and each chip in a bit, this is actually not a difficult task. Maybe one of my friends can set up a 'Get a Jeremy a PSP slim' Cause and if all my friends chip in between 5 to 10 dollars each, a whole package of modified PSP slim with accesories and games installed can be easily attained.
I am thinking of a handphone (Hint: Nokia 6500 Slide, it's not that ex!) as well. But most likely that I would get it for myself. Any comments for that phone? Or any other better recommendation?
A backpack for my Europe trip would be cool too. But that I can also borrow from my friend.
So basically it's just the PSP slim.
I am just kidding. Maybe due to the stress from the test on this coming Tuesday.

Job Interview
Wow! First ever job interview done (previous part time ones not counted). The moments before were crazy, printing stuff I need, mentally preparing questions to ask or stuff they would asked, getting new shirt and a pair of new polished shoes. Thanks to Bro for all the help man!
It turned out quite ok, I hope. There wasn't any moment of real silence or stuff I can't answer. There were 2 interviewers, one Japanese, whom I have difficulty understanding for quite some time, and the other Singaporean engineer, who looked more stressed than I am maybe, due to unfinished project.
They said they will contact me by mid-April for a second interview if everything goes well.
I really hope so!!
