I Am Back

And will be leaving soon again, that is, to Europe.

School life is finally done when I took my last paper on 30th April. Despite being the last paper, I think I did not do that well. But that was already done, so now, I would just enjoy my holidays.

Well, even it was the holidays, I haven't had much rest or free time as well. Time was spent preparing my Europe trip, meeting up with friends, watching movie, going for interview.

Ironman was cool. Despite being a Marvel comic, it wasn't all action packed. The movie intelligently included humor with rather good acting from the main leads. Actions weren't missed as well, with scenes of Ironman taking over the sky and fighter planes doing their flying stunts. Overall, the movie was worthed watching.

I think Bugis becomes the most frequented place for last week. I been there for 3 consecutive days, either to settle my train passes bookings at STA, to pray at the temple, to borrow books at the library or just to do some aimless window shopping.

Last Friday, I met up with Siandy for dinner at this Thai restaurant and the food she recommended was actually not bad. Then we met up with Gary and his girlfriend at Suntec. After deciding there was nothing really to do, we walked from Suntec to Esplanade, and from there we walked to Raffles place and to boat quay, finally we walked to Clarke Quay, just to have some dessert, after learning all the other pubs were full. But it was a nice walk in the night after all.

So now, what I have to do is to settle my itinerary, get the things I need for my trip, pack my bag, confirmed all hostel bookings, and so on. I wish to set up a travel blog for my europe trip, but would it be the fate of my already dormant design blog? I don't know. Haha.

Should I?

Of Interviews, Projects and Birthdays

I will try to keep this post as short as possible, although I have been missing out for almost 2 weeks.

Been actually called for 2nd interview for JGC, the Japanese EPC company. Totally disappointed with that interview, not with myself, but with the interview, and the offer SUCKS BIG TIME. I am so angry with myself why I allow myself to be stuck in such a situation and be humiliated by such person. Anyway I am not going to accept that offer, unless something really goes so wrong. There will be another interview, that is with Yokagawa. It is the 1st round and I hope it will be a good one.

Finally, the super big project design concluded on Thursday!! And since it coincides with my birthday and the last day of school for most of us, we have a small celebration at Marche at Vivocity where we got high with beer, mushrooms and phototaking.

Thanks to the Resonance kakis for the quick lunch at Arts on Friday. Sorry I can't join you all at Daily Scoopz. Hope you all have enjoyed yourself!

So far the presents I have got are ang baos (family), a haversack (class people), and a nice cheesecake and One Republic CD (bro).

This year's birthday I missed out having meal with my family, largely because of the projects and having other plans with friends. But somehow, this year's birthday was quite different. Besides being sick, it's the feeling that's different. Maybe it's the age... I am getting old. Thanks to all who have messaged, facebooked, msn-ed your greetings. Appreciated greatly!

So now, I am left with the last project and the final 2 papers for exams and after that, IT'S THE EUROPE TRIP!!!

PS: Not as if my writing skills are real good, but I realised my writing skills have deteriorated,. Sighz!

New Phone!!

Finally got a phone... And it's not Nokia 6500 Slide. It turned out to be a Sony Ericsson K850i. Besides the small buttons and the rather dull design, I loved the functions and such. And it's a 5 megapixel camera phone. But as it's a SE one, I have to get used to the new way of smsing and browsing around the phone.

And I finally changed my plan too, after about 7 years of Classic100, I now upgraded to a i-One plus Student Plan. Which means, I have FREE INCOMING calls, unlimited smses and free campus call... Haha!

That aside, more and more of my friends are getting employed and I am still awaiting replies from the companies that have interviewed me, and those that I have sent my resumes too. I also just realized it's only two weeks left before the end of my university life. As much as I want to graduate, there's a feeling of belonging and attachment to the campus, the life here and the friends made.

Hopefully I will enjoy the rest of my term here, although there are still the dreadful exams, projects and assignment deadlines!!

Till then.

The Whirlpool

Before you know you are in one big whirlpool, you will be dragged deeper and deeper within, so deep that you can't even swim out of it...

I am now in a stage I haven't been before, its' not a really fantastic thing, but it's not that bad either. I just really don't what to expect from this. It's not about work. The whole situation is like a roller coaster ride, where you be at the highest point at one moment, and at the next, you would be screaming while falling with the pull of gravity.

I really hope to get an answer soon, not from anyone, but from myself. I really hope I know what I am doing.

That aside, I am just so glad I have handed in the dreadful individual design report which sucked dry my sleeping hours, and made me go to school even on a Sunday, and from before the sunlight touches the earth, till the moon takes over the lonely sky. I am just glad it's over for, although there will still be a 100 page group report due, 1 other report, 3 tests, 1 presentation in the next 4 weeks. FYP presentation's over as well, which is as dreadful. I think I didn't do that well. A B+ for my FYP would really be a blessing.

One comforting issue is that people DO appreciate my poster, although I wasn't nominated for best poster. It's really glad to know people were talking GOOD things about it, without my knowledge but of course. I was like passing by my own poster to get to the other side, and I heard mumblings about why my poster wasn't nominated. And also, thanks to some of my friends for giving me additional confirmation when they tried to get their friends to vote for me although my poster wasn't nominated. But of course, I bet those votes will be void. Haha. Really appreciate my classmates too who also tried to get people to vote as well.

I REALLY LIKE MY FRIENDS!!

But on a sadder note, I tend to neglect others whom I have left aside due to my deadlines. I know those are no excuses, but I really hope to seek forgiveness. I will not make empty promises but I will really try to make up time for you guys. You know who you are.

And to that special someone, I really hope everything will just work well... (PS: Don't read too deep within this sentence, AND DON'T GUESS!)

Been in a crazy mood these 2 days, maybe due to the hysteria resulted from the individual design project. Everything would be back to normal real soon.

This, I can promise.

The Week That Has Been

It's only the second week of school and I am feeling the stress already. Probably it's the work and projects that start to kick in and it seems I am in school more often than ever. Hopefully, I can cope with the final semester, and maybe it's after all not a bad thing, so that I can stop worrying about the stresses in life other than school.

Met up with the color-coordinated gang yesterday at Bedok having Botak Jones. Yes, there's an outlet here at Bedok North. Tired the Cajun Chicken, recommended by the goat. It's actually not bad, 'cos I would not normally eat chicken breast, but the preparation of the chicken was quite good that I don't feel that I am eating chicken breast. I am never regretful meeting with these people, as we always had laughter and happiness around, and for once, we could put aside our worries and stress and just enjoy the company of each other.

Looking forward to the next outing with these peeps.

Still waiting for photos to be posted.

First Day of School for the Last Time

I am into my final semester this year, and I really don't know what to expect, or how will I do. I will just do my best and hope Lady Luck will shine on me. Hopefully, I can cope with the stress from school well and just give it all for the very last time.

Wish me luck!

CORS Bidding

I know this is the last time I will be doing CORS bidding as I am graduating this semester. But I just hate knowing that I can't take some modules as I am outbid or not enough points or no one's taking with me or just for some reasons.

As much as possible, I will try to appreciate the process of bidding. Haha.

Hopefully I will get the modules I have bid for. Wish me luck!

Suhui's birthday next week. Haven't really thought I wear for the royal-themed party. Most likely in black.

The past few weeks have been gatherings and more gatherings and as my friends started their work for the new year, I am more or less free-er. FYP's done, but it doesn't look quite good. So for now till next Wednesday, which is Su's party, I guess I will be at home, enjoying the comfort of my house and the company of my dad, mum and grandma. Dad'll been home from this year as he's officially retired. Haiz. Now the stress of supporting the family will be on me.

Tuition started 2 days ago. Now, due to the modules I am taking, I might need to change the tuition days. I hope my kid will be ok with it.
