Mashup

I know I should not be posting during office hours, but this came to mind suddenly and I am afraid I would forget about it.

I was cutting my hair yesterday at Centrepoint when I caught this familar yet not-so-familar introduction to a song playing in the background. It starts with a slightly faster version of Jason Mraz's I'm Yours. Then before I know it, I heard Howie Day's Collide with I'm Yours music accompaniment. And then, it becomes I'm yours and collide just mashup together. All of sudden, songs like Superman (Five for Fighting), Always Getting Over You (Angela Ammons), All That I Need (Boyzone), and Here Without You (3 Doors Down), join in the fun.

I did a quick google check online, and realised it's a mashup done by Norwegian Recycling, and he quite a few collections of other mashups. I haven't really heard the rest yet. Will listen to them when I get home. I only have downloaded the one I heard yesterday and it's called When Six Songs Collide. You can hear the song from here.

Will do a proper attachement when possible.

Real Cool!

PS: Idea for A Cappella Arrangement? Maybe.

PISSED

I should just mind my own business!!

Why should I get myself in this kind of shit when the returns don't do me any good at all? Why would I even bother? Why would I be nice enough and yet be snapped at?

Super BLACK MONDAY!

Late 20s...

Yeah... the day is over. It's a rather quiet one though, but I quite like it this way! Just slacking and chilling out, doing things I wanna do.

Lunch was with my colleagues with a treat from the boss. Dinner was really sumptious one with my family!

Thanks to all for the birthday wishes! I guess FB is one of the most popular way of sending these wishes.

Signs

This was really a nice short video (though its approximately 12 minutes long), but I guess it's a good watch.

Somehow, I am able to draw a few similar connections with some of the scenes, like the boring and monotonous office life, the 'never dared to make any daring moves', stuff like that.

It has a happy ending though.

I liked the music and the way the short film is filmed.

Enjoy!

The Age

I just got a sms a couple hours ago from dear Siandy, asking me to enjoy the last of my mid 20 life because tomorrow I will be late 20s!

I was like... Speechless.

Imagine receiving that sms after running 5.6km for JP Morgan Corporate Chase, and feeling all so tired and aching everywhere. And worse still, the timing was not Olympic-ish. Not even a mile near that, making me feel much much older than I already am. The sms wasn't any much encouraging, yah?

Haha!

Oh well, you know what, Siandy? Have you heard that for guys, 30 is the start of the prime? I haven't even reached my prime yet!

Yup, that makes it sound much much better!!

Anyway thanks for the birthday message! Really appreciated it, though in a really interesting way.

And yup, Pris, hope the rest of us can meet up soon again. Sorry for the late reply. I was running for my life. Haha!

On other news, I got this:

Audio Techinca AT2020 USB microphone.

Actually I was looking for a microphone so that I could do some recording and sound engineering. It's actually just for leisure and fun, nothing much serious. But somehow, I got that in the end. Yes, I could have gotten a normal karaoke microphone, but I read on the Internet that I need a pre-amp to make it sound amped (whatever that means). And USB mics have built in pre-amp. I wanted to get a Samson Q1u which costs less than half the price but it was out of stock. The CAD one didn't look fantastic, so I didn't get that.

Please don't ask me how much!!

PS: I didn't fork out the money. But still I was heart-ached.

Tata!

Hot Hot Date on a Cool Cool Night

First of all, Happy Good Friday!

Good Friday indeed. I was really looking forward to this holiday because the last one was during Chinese New Year and that was like eons ago.

So I did the things I wanna do and had some good rest. But I got bored in the evening and feel all so lonely so suddenly. So I was looking for people to go out, but to my dismay, there was no one! Maybe I did not look hard enough, but still, I was rather disappointed. I really did not want to go out alone.

Suddenly I remembered there was one. One that I had ignored for a long long time. And so I decided to bring my hot date out on this cool evening.

We headed to esplanade outdoor theater to catch A Cappellah! A gig displaying local a cappella groups. I missed the 1st show at 7.30pm but caught the 2nd set by Nanu and 3rd set by TAS. Frankly speaking, it wasn't very good. Nanu has really good singers but not all are good, especially the singers with lower registers did not support the group well enough. I just wished they had better bass support and not just wonderful lead singers. The gals were good. 'Nuff said. As for the group from TAS, I think they really could have been much better with more and effective practices. In addition, I felt that the music stands kind of hinder their interactions with audience.

Oh ya, talking about my hot date, it was my dearest Canon S3 IS. It was isolated for quite some time and the last time I took it out, it threw tantrums at me and refuse to work properly with occasional auto shut down. I guessed it was regretful and worked perfectly today. The pictures were ok, could have been better if my settings were set more accurately for the event.

Pictures ahead.

On an another note, I went out with CN4A people last night at Clarke Quay. Really enjoyed the company and had lots of laughter and fun. Thanks to Xiqian and Weian for the treat.

Bad Times

Times are really bad. You have heard it in the news. But you never know it is actually happening until it just occur right under your nose.

People in the company are getting laid off. The atmosphere is heavy and dark.

But admist the gloomy layer, we need to be strong and be positive. It ain't easy. No one said it is. But it is the optimism we need to help us all get over. We still things to do and we still have a life to live on.

Hopefully, they are handling it well.
